Pokemon X and Y

2 min read
I can't wait till I get Pokemon X!~ Unfortunately it's gonna be like another 12 hours before I can get it because 1. I'm in Canada and 2. The game shop I pre-ordered it from doesn't open until noon.

I think that the mega forms are pretty cool because it's like saying "This isn't even my final form" to all of the players

Alright, first off, good job every one who entered, I enjoyed reading all of your entries and I'm glad that you all made an effort to enter. Not only is today the day I announce winners, but it's also the last day of my summer which is quite a bummer. While there were quite a few entries, I am just a bit disappointed that there weren't as many entries as I had expected. But, my expectations were probably really high and far fetch'd (That totally wasn't a pokemon pun...) Now, before you all continue down to the winners, I do request that everyone is a good sport, because honestly, I don't want to see people bashing on the winners, or reporting them or what ever else they do, all because they didn't win a contest. If you didn't win but you entered, well that just means that you need to try harder for next time! Improve! Now, what you all really care about- the contest winners!

                                                                                                                         *DRUM ROLL PLEASE*

                                                                                                                                        3rd place:
                                                                                                                                  fav.me/d6hyb5g
                                                                                                                       This was made by Driftingnotes
What you won: 200 points, 5 favorites and comments, a watch and a llama
I have to say that it was a really good fanfic, and there was a lot of emotions in it and how Alfred couldn't forget who reader was and how he was with her, despite what other contries said- like that... that right there is love. Honestly I didn't see any mistakes in here, but that could just be me.Anyways- well done!

                                                                                                                                     2nd place:
                                                                                   aznbubblegumz.deviantart.com/a…
This is actually, the first time that it's happened that third and second place, were claimed by the same person. Driftingnotes
What you won: 500 points, 10 favorites and comments, a watch and a llama
I just love how you write that Francis isn't a pervert like some people say he is and how he can actually love someone and care for them. I love it when a writer makes him come off like that because it's true. I mean, he's the country of love, not the country of perverts. It was nice and fluffy and just overall really good! I didn't really see any mistakes in it too so good job! (And congratulations on winning second AND third place.)

And now, the moment you have all been waiting for... boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, hetalians of all ages (Since all the entries were in fact, hetalia)- are you ready to see who first place belongs to?

The first place goes to...

                                                                                                                                       1st place:
                                                                                     aznbubblegumz.deviantart.com/a…
                                                                                                         This was written by Building-Summer
What you won: 800 points, 15 favorites and comments, a watch and a llama from me.
I admit, this story blew me away. It was powerful, meaningful and the story line was amazing and well planned out. When I finished reading this one I knew that it was going to be hands down, the number one place in this contest. It had emotion, good spelling and grammar and Alfred was in character! Like I could imagine all of the action happening, the war, the rebels, everything. This was amazing, you did a wonderful job, congratulations on your victory! This, was well earned.

Again, if you didn't win, please don't go around and do a rampage or something. However, if you didn't win, here's some advice and some pointers to those who actually came close to victory.

1. Spelling/Grammar - If you can't spell or your grammar is horrible, or even if your in the same situation as me with punctuation, I would recommend getting a friend to read over and edit your stories because then they can catch quite a few things. Now, if English is a second third or whatever language and it isn't your first, then yeah, okay I understand that because you're not writing by your native tongue. But hiring an English speaking editor wouldn't hurt, they can give you some constructive criticism too.

2. Descriptive words- I honestly love it when people go deep into description and I think that this is something that we can all improve on together. I'll admit, I myself, am not good at writing descriptive paragraphs. So lets go and climb that ladder together, get descriptive get mad, get wild, EAT THE LEMONS. Actually, I take that back, don't eat the lemons- they're sour.

3. Plot/Story - Sometimes I felt like the story line wasn't completely planned out or was all over the place. And honestly, the only thing I can recommend for this is to try and organize your story a but more. I actually don't know what else to say.

4. Length - Okay, I don't mean this as in "Oh, this story is too short" or "Oh no, this is way too long" I mean it as in the ending doesn't seem complete. Or like the story just came to a sudden end. Think off it like our on a roller coaster, you're going super fast, twirling around, going in loops and spirals and then you come to a sudden halt. Like it doesn't just gradually get slower, you stop so quickly that you feel like your flying out of the seat. Honestly this usually happens when there's some action in the story missing or when the problem is just introduced and then 20 seconds later, the problem is solved. Well that's not really much of a problem is it? I mean I understand that sudden stop if it's a multi-chapter story, because then it adds suspense until the next chapter. But if its for a one-shot, then the readers are going to e left hanging there.

Alright, that's all the advice i'll give and once again congratulation winners!
